Pula – Medulin – Marlera
The lighthouse of Cape Marlera
The easternmost part in the south Marlera, which is situated about 6 km distance from Ližnjan-Lisignano, is the punta Grkova. The cape name is associated with the Greek colonization of Cyprus in the 16th century. During the time period from 1865 and 1880, at a distance of 25 m from the sea, the lighthouse has been built.

The cycling tour starts in Pula and leads toward Marlera, with extra time dedicated to exploring this unspoiled natural area. The route follows the beaches of the southeastern coast of Istria, offering stunning views of the crystal-clear sea along the way.

The first stop is Medulin, a popular tourist town that was once a traditional fishing village. Here, the ride continues along the unique one-kilometer-long sandy Bijeca Beach, where you can enjoy beautiful coastal scenery.

A short stop is planned at Vižula, an important archaeological site with well-preserved remains of Roman villas, reflecting the rich history of the region. After spending time in Marlera, the tour returns to Pula by a pleasant and relaxed ride.
